Originally called Midwest Rhythm in early 2008, we changed our name to Trip District, referring back to an earlier failed incarnation of the band that included several of the current members.  The players in our newly restored band know that this journey is destined to be different.  After several years of working in factories and trying to live "normal" lives, music was found to be the only viable avenue that would lead to true contentment.  Untreated states of mental health, coupled with hints of an uncultured society, give us our unique sound and high energy performance.


The music is for anyone who is (or is thinking of) following an honest passion or dream.  
We play for the small town "nobodies" who aren't afraid to be heard.  We play for the people that believe in the dream and for those that are forced to be "normal."
